| Dr. Ban pendant |
Why I didn't do this before? When I was having a hard time finding Dr. Ban's pendant photos, there's something I do quite often for anime or manga source pictures, to search in Japanese (銀河鉄道999ドクターバン)! Well, quite a few pictures popped up, amongst them the one above, and a few others where I could verify the back. The monitor goes both ways, so, I'll have to make a hole on the body of the pendant.

| main pendant shape and monitor hole |
So, after I was happy with the main shape, I punched a hole for the monitor with a thinner, sharper file, and then, with a curved one, I filed it until round. The hole will be bigger, but I want it this size for now, so I can shape both pendant sides. I'll also make it's shape more like the above artwork, but I'll have to make a new template for that.
I also checked my stash, I have silver studs, the right size for the buttons, and red rectangular nail art crystals for the LED lights. So, I only need the chains, buy the plexiglass for the monitor, to have laser cut, and think of how to make the monitor frame. I was thinking of using EVA foam, but now I think maybe cardboard would be a better alternative. I'm making both front and back monitor frames separately, have the monitor screen cut bigger, and then fit it between, with a bit of glue to attach it to the sides, which will be hidden by the frame.
+ more and better artwork! Also, the foam is soft enough, I didn't need any special tools to pierce it.
- I'll have to reshape it, but luckily it will be taking away, and not adding to it.
THE CUNNING PLAN
Make a new template, reshape the pendant, mark the middle line along the side, and make negative templates for the curvy surface in cardboard. And, go to the art supply shop, to get the paint. I'm thinking of a glittery or metallic dark blue-purple paint, or something similar.
